How to update your work or play wardrobe for Spring / Summer 2012

Spring / Summer 2012 is on its way which means its time to think of ways to update your wardrobe to make it lighter and fresher. The overall trend for Spring / Summer 2012 is softness and femeninity, both in terms of styles and colours.

The neutrals for Spring / Summer 2012 have been reworked and are now softer and more feminine. They include a soft champagne pink-beige, eucalyptus a soft grey green and a softened khaki, like the colour of dried herbs.

The traditional colours of spring, reflecting the yellow and purples of spring flowers and the yellow greens of new shoots have been softened into more femenine hues. Soft coral and turquoise are also key colours for the season, together with a new shade of blue and a softened red.

Start by making sure you have springs's basic classic items in either the traditional neutral colours of navy, white, cream, tan, taupe and light grey, or the new neutrals.
